WEATHER FOR THE RACE WILL BE DAY CONDITIONS.
If you’re not racing with us, many of us stream the races on twitch, the links for which will be posted on race day. A list of streamers from the previous round can be found !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Also, instead of using parties or gamechat, we are going to be using the Oppositelock Racing/Digital Burnouts Discord to communicate during the races. If for some reason we are not using the app or it fails, we will be using gamechat to communicate, and hoping for the best. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Only a few more days to go! If you have a new car or livery, feel free to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Looks like another full lobby again. This time with even more Protos!
BUILD RULES HAVE BEEN FINALIZED! !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Quite a few builds have changed since the last round so make sure to check the sheet. Any car that has had it’s build changed is highlighted in yellow on the build sheet, and I have listed every car whose build has been modified below. Also, the required number of pit stops has been finalized. There will be 2 required pit stops for Sports-Proto and GT cars.
Also, regrettably, I have to make it known that it was not possible to properly balance the 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale for this race , and it is off pace of the other Sports-Proto cars. Therefore, anyone who was planning to use that car in this race may switch to whatever Sports-Proto car they desire and then swap back to the Alfa for Round 5 while being exempt from the normal car switching rules. You can still race the Alfa in this round, but I cannot guarantee you will be competitive.
HERE ARE THE CARS WHOSE BUILDS HAVE CHANGED, SEPARATED BY CLASS
Sports-Proto:
1966 Porsche 906 Carrera 6
GT:
1970 Alfa Romeo Montreal
1973 BMW 2002 Turbo
1986 BMW M635 CSI
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427
1970 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi
1957 Ferrari 250 California
1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4
1969 Ferrari Dino 246 GT
1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III
1967 Lamborghini Miura P400
1971 Lotus Elan Sprint
1973 Nissan Skyline H/T 2000 GT-R
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 455 SD
1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3
1980 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS
1970 Porsche 914/6
1973 Renault Alpine A110s
1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe
Also make sure to follow the weather in Boston or other New England locations. Right now, it looks like there is a 10% chance of rain on race day, though things can change. The final call on weather will be made one hour before the race by our resident New Englander Viggen. If it’s raining in his yard, we’re racing in the rain. So blame him for the weather conditions and crashes .
Lastly, I have to talk about the jump. In the last sector of the track, there is a part where you can gain air. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AROUND THE JUMP! If there is going to be a crash, it’s going to happen here. It’s also worth noting that some cars handle the jump better than others, and some additional tuning may be required if you’re struggling on landing. Now, I’m not saying don’t take the jump. I’m saying the opposite, actually. I want you to fly like a majestic eagle and then fly again after your car fails to land properly. However, please keep in mind other drivers approaching the jump and the potential risks that may be involved.
That’s it for now! Practice session probably isn’t happening since I have finals next week. Y’all can get together though and host something. If I can get something together, I’ll let you all know. Otherwise, see you Saturday!

I had a suspicion that the Shelby was going to get a little slower.
Also, no regrets on livery choice.
